While this doesn’t fall in the typical train of thought to start waxing in the middle of January, I’d like to break that notion, and ask for you to consider otherwise.
Winter is the perfect time to start your waxing regime; if your goal is to be summer ready. Truth is when you first start waxing, your first visit can be more of a learning curve. When you come in for your first time to wax, there are a lot of factors that come into play. Nerves and expectations vs actual outcomes being two big ones. During your first wax, I know you’re nervous, I’ve been there too and I try really hard to minimize those nerves by talking you through the process before we get started. It’s never an absolute, so if you “think“ you want a Brazilian but get here and change your mind to a bikini, no problem, I can do that for you. Vice versa is true as well. Your time with me is exceptionally private, confidential and all yours.
Expectations vs actual outcomes.
When it comes to Brazilian or even bikini waxing, I pride myself on being one of Wisconsin’s best waxers. I try to be thorough, quick, clean, and informative so you’re aware of what to expect before during and after the service is done. However, first time waxing is not always perfect. It often times takes two to three waxes to feel like your skin is smooth and all the hair is removed.
Your better waxes will most likely be your second or third wax, when your hair growth pattern has slowed down, and the hair that grew back after the first wax will be softer, more easily removed, AND you have usually about 40-50 less hair to contend with. All these factors make for an easier, quicker and far superior wax then the first time. Let’s not forget to add that now that you know what to expect, your nerves strong and your confidence is UP.
So, needless to say, if you are thinking about wanting to be hair free for much of the summer. Consider starting your routine now, when you’re not showing off your skin and you can get the dreaded first time wax appointment behind you.
